Through the year HHI stores items for the container on an industrial park - provided rent free. Individauls and organisations hear about our work and contact us and arrange collection. You can see from these photographs, taken on 16th October, that weree well prepared for 26th October when a number of volunteers will transfered the items in storage onto a 40ft container. Mike Hopkin will perform his magic and will get most of these items into the container - starting with the priority things such as hospital equipment. Clothing is packed in boxes for stacking or plastic bags for stuffing into every conceivable space. The wheelchairs take a bit of thought and effort - have you tried stacking wheelchairs 10 feet high? Well, it gets done and last year we sent over 150 of them and this year looks to be no different. Take a look at the photos - they will give you a feel for the things we collect/store and the things that are greatly appreciated when they arrive in Zambia.
