HELPING INDIVIDUALS – INDIA

Health – Education – TRAINING

From the start of HHI over 20 years ago, financial support to desperate individuals in India has been an important part of our work. Some are one-offs whilst others are longer term.

We try to assist people in attaining self-sufficiency. See a video here.

We also assist those who cannot afford it with a contribution towards their treatment and medication. See a video here.

Beulah’s Story

Beulah’s Story

When Beulah’s mother was pregnant with her, her father met with an accident at work in which he lost his legs. Devika

Devika

Another such case was a 13-year-old girl called Devika.  Her father is employed in a tea shop, so the family (which includes three girls) is very poor, and we have helped with the cost of Devika’s medication for some time.  She has cerebellar tonsillar ectopia, a malformation of the brain,…

Valsala

Valsala

Shibu, our permanent bystander in the hospital, is currently an advocate for six patients who have all met with various accidents, and would not get the treatment that they so desperately need without his presence. We pay his expenses, but do not give him a salary.

There is a video of his work here.
