Distribution Day with IK International – Well Done HHZ!

Mr Gondwe has shared details of the recent special occasion held at the HHZ compound in Monze.

Dear trustees HHI UK,

Once more we are greeting you all in the name of our Lord the Saviour, good morning. We are all well here – the staff, trustees and all our beneficiaries in the community circles.

The school children are going slowly back to their various schools. In two of the special schools where we are supporting children the turn out back to school is very low due to heavy rains which have caused floods.

IK (Ilasha Kadijar) International: The donation was done in a very colourful, dignified and honoured manner and was graced by the minister of home affairs and internal security who is our area member of Parliament and another government high ranking official, the permanent secretary the District Commissioner. We were well covered by all media teams in all circles of the country. The speech covered a lot of areas about what HHZ is doing through the helps done by HHI UK. IK International is an organisation from Saudi Arabia which helps the vulnerable in society.

During the donations, we received 30 wheelchairs and 40×10 kg small bags of meali meal for those who were not on our monthly distribution. The 10 boreholes these politicians over laid by taking them to schools and villages, but we have been promised more and we will submit another list of what we need.

I talked to their most top man while we were seated closer on the high table together with the minister and the team from IK International. They were so happy about our works through the speech presented and the pictures shown.

Kindly view the pictures which show the decorations, the disabled in a hall, the minister, the DC, the team of IK International delegates, the media and Lazarus in action with music.

The distribution process: The truck carrying the items arrived along with the convoy for the minister and the security covering the event. Many pictures were taken by Brenda and Mwansa of the HHZ trustees, staff and the community at large. I was also busy receiving visitors and briefing them what we do, or we are doing.

We thank you for your prayers, the money needed for the events, the money for the feeding programme, salaries and much more.

We are all tired, but we didn’t eat anything, not even have a drink of water. We surrendered the food to the visitors, but they said the food should just be given to the disabled.

Thanking you,

God bless you all.

Yours faithfully,

F.S.Gondwe
