A tribute to Carole Nzila, Health Help Zambia Administrator.

Sadly, Carole Nzila died in Monze Mission Hospital on the morning of October 5th. She had been hospitalised with diabetic complications and then contracted covid. She will be greatly missed by all of us here in HHIUK, by the community in Monze and by her loving family.

Carole was a committed member for HHZ for 16 years. Initially, she started as a tutor training disabled and vulnerable people in information technology. She then moved onto a bookkeeping role and from 2008 she has been the administrative manager for HHZ. She has been invaluable to the work of HHZ and to us here in the UK. She was loved for her efficiency, her compassion, her ability to communicate with all who came seeking help and for her laughter. She was a tremendous support to the HHZ team despite suffering her own disability with a leg amputation in 2018.

Carole leaves behind her husband and two daughters, one who is in studying at University and one still in primary school.
Carole communicated directly with us here in the UK and reported monthly with detailed accounts on how the funding received had reached its destinations. She ensured the staff were paid, she minuted the trustee meetings, she dealt with all the banking and container paperwork, and she ensured that the schools received the funding to allow the disabled pupils to attend. She was respected by all who dealt with Health Help Zambia and she created an image of a professional, Christian International Charity.
