… and you feed him for a day. Give a man a fishing rod and you feed him for life.

At HHI we often meet immediate needs, but we also want people to be empowered to sustain themselves. So recently we told you about the ten members of Mannyam church who wanted to start rearing chickens. Thanks to your generosity we were able to send out Rs. 50,000 (about £525) for this, enabling not just ten families but 14 to buy chicken coops and chickens. Their delight at becoming self-sufficient is clear on their faces.
