For many years, Philip was Tom Sutherland’s right-hand man, looking after the practical aspects of The Banyan Tree. Now that Tom has retired to Australia, he has taken over the work in its entirety.
Trained as an accountant, Philip comes from northern Kerala. He distributes medical and practical aid on our behalf, acts as headmaster to the Friends of the Banyan Tree’s tuition groups, and has set up Happy Valley, our second special needs centre which he runs with great enthusiasm.
Philip is married with three children.
