The First Need

We have electricity and internet. So here goes…

Siambango, 24, came in with her grandmother with whom she has lived since the death of her parents. She has been a student at Maamba special school where she has completed up to Grade 9 and she has now been accepted to do a 6-month computer course at Choma college. Siambango requires K2,750 (Kwatcha) about £110 which she will need to reside at Choma for the six months. HHZ will add her name to the end of month report so that we can try to send the money before her start date Oct 9th.

Meanwhile we were able to give her some new clothing which we brought with us and Alistair gave her a menstrual hygiene pack along with the necessary explanations. Siambango is good to go! She was very happy indeed. We wish her all the very best and look forward to hearing the outcome in 6 months time.
