Asha Kiran

Since earlier this year, Grace Ministries has taken over Asha Kiran.  Santhosh will continue as a trustee for the time being so as to provide continuity, but will move to a well-earned retirement in a year or two.

The new NGO is enthusiastic.  They have updated the facilities to bring them up to modern Indian standards, so now offer a choice between Western and Indian style toilets.  Tiling has been done and more is planned.  Blackboards have been fixed.

The centre has bought some more physiotherapy equipment using money that we gave when we visited – walking aids, ultrasound therapy equipment, TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), a thumb splint and exercise weights that can be strapped to limbs.  These will all contribute further to the excellent work of the physiotherapist and enable even more progress to be made.
