Help for Ambily

Health Help International helps a number of disabled and long term invalids with the cost of their medication.  One such person whom we met when we were in India at the start of the year and started to help recently is Ambili.  Our contact in that part of India Pastor Wilson, writes:-

Sister Ambily is receiving money for her Daily life.

Sister Ambily is a  lady with mental health limitations. She was admitted and studying in a Bud school with other mentally challenged people. But one day one person came in her school with a similar mental condition.. His name was Thatha. Over the next  three years their love for each other developed. This story know to each families. But Thatha is from a Hindu family and  Ambily is from a Christian family. When their families found out, they opposed their marriage. So our panchayath [village council] members and some political leaders took a decision that if they are love each other they would arrange a marriage for them. Finally they were married. After three years they had two children – one girl and one boy. But after their marriage, within four years, her husband Thatha was affected by a brain tumour, and suddenly he died. Ambily doesn’t have any father or mother now. So she is  living with her husband’s family. Thatha‘s mother is caring for this family.

The thousand rupees [£8] that you support with is very useful to them. It makes a great difference.  They are very happy.
