Another India update

Philip has sent us an update on Shibu’s work in Trivandrum General Medical College Hospital. Patients here need a “bystander” – someone who will look after them, get their food and buy their medicine, keep them clean and so on. Normally a bystander looks after just one patient; Shibu looks after up to a dozen, although he is now down to “only” five. For all his work he receives no pay – HHI just meets the cost of his lodging and food, and makes a contribution to the costs of looking after his invalid mother in a nursing home.

V – 26 years old . He is from Maharastra state. He faced a lorry accident. His both legs were damaged and remove below the knee. He admitted the medical college hospital a week ago. Shibu looks after him and we provide the breakfast and supper and other services also.

S 48 years old, Manacadu , Trivandrum. 2 weeks ago he faced a bus accident , right leg fracture . He can not move Free Operation and other treatment are free from Medical college and admitted 15th ward.

K – 53 years old, from parassala. He works a wood cutter and puck the coconut. One and a half month ago he fell down the coconut tree .Right hand fracture and back bone were damaged. Operation is over and put the steal rod in the hand. Banyan tree provide some medicine and other services also

A L. -62 years old from Kollam district. No family and relatives. He was a daily labour One month ago he faced a motor bike accident and admitted medical college hospital in 15 ward and an operation was over. We arranged food and services from the Banyan Tree.

R -57 years old, from Vellayani, Trivandrum. He faced a motor bike accident . His left leg fracture and operation before two months back. Put the iron rod in his leg. He can not move. Banyan tree provide food, and other services. He is in the 15th ward
