Changes at Happy Valley

The lease on Happy Valley’s building came to an end at the end of March 2025.  Initially the landlord refused to extend the lease.  Philip searched diligently for an alternative building, but to no avail.  Closure of this wonderful work seemed the only option.

But then, at the last minute, the landlord relented.  Happy Valley could stay on for a further year, albeit at a much-increased rent.  Disaster was averted and the centre has re-opened after the long Spring holiday.  The life changing work of feeding, educating and training 68 children with a variety of special needs will continue.  Everyone is very relieved.

Longer term, we would love to set up a purpose-designed home for Happy Valley.  Philip has identified a suitable plot of land that is available for just under £50,000.  He is confident that he and his team in India could raise some of this money if we could raise the rest.
