In 2017, Health Help Zambia (HHZ) became aware of 14-year-old Grace Mushiba. She was unable to walk or attend school due to foot sores caused by diabetes.

HHZ were able to purchase a new wheelchair for Grace, which improved her mobility. However, she still faced a difficult and uncertain future; her father struggled to provide for his family from fishing and her mother had six other children to look after.
Unfortunately for Grace, in 2020 she had to have both legs amputated below the knee due to complications with her diabetes.
Grace was not able to attend school and had little self-confidence. However, in the Spring of 2022, HHZ helped Grace by enabling her to take sewing and tailoring lessons.
With enthusiasm and commitment, Grace has started her own tailoring business with the help of HHZ providing a new sewing machine.

With the help of HHZ, Grace has developed a sustainable living for herself. HHZ continue to help Grace by encouraging her to attend sewing sessions in the Monze compound.
Please continue to pray for Grace as she continues to develop her little sewing business.
