I am one of the HHZ beneficiaries who received support from the Organisation at a very tender age . I was supported in school by HHZ. They enrolled in a training course and after graduation I thought of doing a teaching course has it had always been my passion. After completion at the Teacher’s college, I volunteered at one of the community schools that was constructed by HHZ called Mumba community school.
After a few years later the Government deployed me as a trained disabled teacher at the stated school. I am currently acting as a deputy Head teacher at the very school. I am also one of the Trustees at HHZ. Indeed education is a key to success despite being disabled, because of education I lead an independent life taking care of myself as well as the family members. I am grateful to HHI UK for the support, I am what I am because of them. I want to sensitise my colleagues who are disabled to take kin interest in education and as such my role is to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities.
