Raising the Roof to Raise the Roof
How glad are we that gifted people are prepared to give of their time and talents freely in order to support the Choongo Challenge?
James MacDowall-Scott, musical director of Pershore Abbey, and Caroline Jones with the Black Mountain Recorders and Craig Ddu Recorder Ensemble gave amazing performances to a rapt audience at Abergavenny URC. The repertoire, sandwiched between Pachelbel and Bach, included a glorious recorder sonata by Marcello and a range of pieces by the recorder groups. It all made for a very enjoyable evening.

We are grateful, too, for the generous donations (many Gift Aided) and craft purchases which will enable the next stage building of the new dormitory to begin. Although money is still coming in, the total amount raised on Saturday will be about £750. An amazing accomplishment!
A big thank you must also be given to our friends at Abergavenny URC who hosted the event, provided refreshments and extended such a warm welcome to everyone.
Be glad that your generosity will make a huge difference to the lives of needy and vulnerable children at Choongo School!
Thank You!
