Every year HHI used to raise funds to send a container to Monze in Zambia full of items freely donated by our supporters - hospital and health items; disabilty aids, clothes, school equipment and much more. These items were then distributed by our staff in Monze, free of charge, to the sick, disabled, needy and vulnerable. Over the years we sent out no less than fourteen containers, starting with 20 foot containers before standardising on more economical 40 foot containers - even if this meant waiting a bit more than a year before we collected enough goods to fill it.
Our final container was despateched in June 2017, and arrived in August. See our news item on its reception, and other news items about the distribution of its contents. We are now focussing our resources on other projects that we operate in Zambia.
Please note that we are not sending any more goods on the container, and therefore we can no longer accept goods for shipment to Zambia.
Thank you to everyone who has donated useful items over the years.
