Robbie was born in 1965 in Munyona Village. After finishing school, he did some skills training at Monze Youth Project in carpentry and joinery and later in orthopaedics and orthotics at Lusaka University Teaching Hospital.
In 2005 Robbie was involved in a road traffic accident and was admitted to Monze Mission Hospital for 6 weeks. It was during this time that Robbie came to understand how difficult it is to live with pain as well as to need continuing hospital care for his disabilities. When he had properly recovered from the accident, Robbie decided to join Health Help Zambia and was soon using his skills to repair mobility aids especially wheel chairs.
Robbie has proved time and time again that he is the main ‘go to’ man when there is work to be done. And he is more than a skilled craftsman. He is always ready and willing to offer advice and practical suggestions as well as turn his hand to the next challenge.
