Entrepreneurial Augustine

As you may recall from earlier posts on our website, Augustine is one of our post-covid grant recipients.

Jute reports from visiting him on Monday that he is making a success of his start-up shoe-making business.  Jute was so impressed with his handiwork she has placed an order for a pair of sandals for herself!  His business is also helping the environment as he is recycling old tyres to produce the soles on his shoes.

Augustine’s progress to help himself hasn’t stopped there. He’s using some of the income from his shoe-making business to fund a small café business next to his shoe stall.  It’s also a family business as Augustine’s wife prepares snacks in the café for customers waiting for their shoes.

Congratulations to Augustine on generating a double income from his grant award.  ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!’  (Matthew 25 v.21).
