u3a: Learn Laugh Live
We managed all three.
On a sunny Spring afternoon in March with the warm and friendly u3a group at The Bridges in Monmouth, we learned about the work of HHI to improve the quality of life for vulnerable and disabled individuals in Zambia. And although we take our work very seriously, we celebrate our successes with joy and laughter!
For the first time, we were able to give a comprehensive overview of the work we undertake in Zambia using the superb videos made by Big Picture Charity Films. And, as it is our 25th anniversary year, we also focussed on the ‘Choongo Challenge’ – to provide a new dormitory for the special needs children who board at Choongo school.
Thank you to Alison, Sue, our MC Avril and to everyone who donated, bought our crafts, asked questions or commented on our presentation. You have enabled HHI to share some of the challenges we undertake as we seek to enrich the LIVES of those at Choongo, to help them LEARN and encourage them to LAUGH! Thank you!
