Advent – Pastor Fundi writes from Zambia
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. (James 1:27)
Stanley Mwiinga is 15 years old living in the outskirts of Monze District and he is a double orphan who lost both parents at a tender age. Stanley has a physical challenge of one leg shorter than the other. Although Stanley has this challenge, he is eager to go to school and his performance at school is exemplary. Currently Stanley is doing grade 10 but due to distance from home to school, he often misses classes which is affecting his performance at school. His wish is to become a Medical Doctor one day in order for him to help other children who are like him.
Stanley stays with his uncle who is very old and also nursing his wife who has stroke. Due to these factors, his uncle is not able to raise the money needed to purchase his shoe raise, school fees as well as food. Stanley has always been crying to God that one day God may look upon him with mercy by providing the much needed shoe raise, a bicycle, education and nutritional support. Our wish as HHZ family is that one day Stanley will come with a big smile in his face testifying and appreciating the goodness of the Lord in his life through your support.
[The “shoe raise” costs £70].
Shall we pray for Stanley Mwiinga:
Our God of Mercy, we pray for the needy people like Stanley. Lord you have asked us to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. Help us Lord to be obedient to your Word. Lord help us to be a channel of blessings to the needy people like Stanley. Lord hear our prayer in Jesus Name. Amen.
