DAY 2 – 9th JANUARY 2026
As always, it was a busy day. After a noisy and enthusiastic welcome by the disabled children at Happy Valley I was able to revel in everything that is going on. Teaching, physiotherapy, healthy food and vocational training are making a huge difference to many young lives. And it is wonderful to see how much many of them had developed in the two years since I saw them last, as well as a chance to meet the new ones.
Then it was off to view a piece of land that Philip would like to buy for their permanent home. It just needs some things to come together and we’re off!

The final call of the day was to Mundela tuition group where a group of 11 students were getting some extra help with their studies. I tested their English and all except the very youngest were able to speak really confidently and well, proving the value of the extra help that these groups give.
