Hello and Thank You
Do you remember?…
Augustine, the shoemaker, visited the compound to thank HHI for helping him through his recent hospitalisation due to a severe urinary infection. He still has no bladder control and is due for hospital review in January. In the meantime, he was given some male incontinence pads as well as a new shirt. Augustine, his wife and six children were dependent on monthly HHI food support during Covid. After the pandemic he was given a startup capital of £60 as part of HHI’s Grant Scheme and established a successful shoemaking and shoe repair business. He is very keen to have a grinding machine and sewing machine – an, ‘ordinary one with strong needle will do the trick’ he explained. He will obtain some quotes, give them to Brenda and they will be passed to HHI.

Alpha, Omega & Miriam were brought to the HHZ compound by their mother, Mrs Mwiinga, to say hello and thank you. When they were first born they were underweight, and disability was suspected. They are now 3 years old, have a clean bill of health, and are thriving. The family still benefits from being on the feeding programme and the triplets obviously like bananas!
