Good news from Naanga
Timely good tidings during troubled times!
How wonderful it was to receive these pictures of mealtimes in the new kitchen /dining – indeed, multipurpose – block at Naanga school. Generous donations from dedicated supporters enabled the building to take place and further sizeable contributions meant that the room could be furnished with these well made tables and chairs.
Although we are accustomed to seeing photographs of children at school during Covid regulations, we are thrilled to share with you our first picture showing a socially distanced lunchtime in the southern hemisphere – especially in a building funded and furnished by you, our devoted supporters.
But, it doesn’t end there. A dedicated supporter has now given a contribution for every child at Naanga to receive a gift this Christmastime! That’s above and beyond… and super news! Thank you.
In his email, the new head teacher, Arthur Bweupe informed us that the total school population is now 35 and that they are able to accommodate more children. He continued, ‘We are always grateful for the support you render to us.’
So, as we wish a happy retirement to Mr Zulu, the previous headteacher, we congratulate Mr Bweupe on his new position and wish him well in his new post. And, we look forward to working alongside everyone at Naanga Special School in the future.
Christmas has come early! Thanks to you!
