My full name is Brenda Chileshe Siasendeka, a Zambian second born in a family of six. I am married to Ricky Siasendeka and my husband and I have a son together by the name of Shoma Siasendeka, 14 years of age.
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and a Diploma in Marketing. Part of my training in social work required been attached to any organisation offering services to the disadvantaged in our communities. I did my internship at HHZ and that was the beginning of my journey with this Organisation. During the same period, I learnt a lot through interaction with colleagues and the clients that were been supported by HHZ. Upon graduating, I again joined HHZ and as worked as a volunteer in 2012 for 2 years.
I later on got engaged with Cheshire Homes Zambia under a programme called Inclusive Education for children living with disabilities for a period of 4 years.
Since I already had the passion to work with the disabled, when an opportunity was availed to me this year (2021) to join HHZ I ceased it without hesitation. It was therefore easy for me to fit in as I continued receiving support from both HHZ staff and HHI UK.
I enjoy and take pleasure in contributing to the betterment of lives especially for people with disabilities and the vulnerable. It is always a pleasure to meet these clients during our field visits where we share with them words of encouragement and presentation of material and financial support from HHI UK through HHZ.
Brenda’s duties are many and varied. She keeps the accounts and performs secretarial duties, typesets jobs for the printing department and the general office administration duties for HHZ, as well as keeping in contact with HHI in the UK and any other jobs that need doing to keep HHZ running smoothly. She also finds time to join some of the outreach work of HHZ.
