TRIP TO TRPPAADAM

I went up to Trppaadam to pick up Tom, got invited in by the senior Father, and was shown their new complex for elderly people. We identified a useful trade off with Shibu’s work  – Shibu could look after any of their patients who need hospital treatment, whilst they could take any of his patients who need end of life palliative care or simply somewhere to go when they are discharged. It is a win-win situation.

Sadly, I meet a number people on my trips to India who are at the end of their lives. Shajimon is one such person. I was able to offer support to his family by giving them some money (equivalent to £52 in sterling)  to purchase food and enable their son to continue his accountancy exams.
